I first came to Sweden in 2020, never imagining it would become home. Before that, I had only seen a wild red squirrel once in my life, so suddenly being surrounded by them here felt completely incredible. Their curiosity, resilience, and charisma in the forest enchanted me, and what began as a short trip slowly turned into something much deeper. I found myself returning again and again—until I eventually bought a house and stayed. The more time I spend with them, the more stories and images I can envision, as if the forest keeps revealing its magic the longer I listen.
